The VVS Collection · Pendants
Most pendant bails are hollow or plated — the loop that holds the diamond is where competitors cut first. Ours are solid 14K through and through. Every stone VVS+ clarity, E-F color, IGI certified. 20 years of SEEPZ procurement. No markup chain.
Round or pear — the clarity, color, cert, gold, and sourcing don't change. Pick the shape that fits how you wear it.
The classic. One stone. Full IGI. 14K solid gold bail.
A single round brilliant on a solid 14K bail and 18-inch chain. Four prongs cradle the stone to maximize light return — the setting disappears and the diamond does the work. Every size ships VVS+ clarity, E-F color, IGI certified. The bail is solid 14K gold, not plated — the loop that holds the pendant won't deform or tarnish.
Elongated. More visual length. Distinctive silhouette.
The pear cut reads larger than a round at the same carat weight — the elongated profile stretches longer on the décolletage, giving you more visual presence per dollar. Solid 14K bail rated for standard chain gauges up to 2mm. Same VVS+ floor, same IGI certification, same SEEPZ sourcing — different silhouette.
The VVS Guarantee
The VVS Guarantee applies to every piece we sell — not just studs, not just rings. Every pendant ships with VVS+ clarity and E-F color as a non-negotiable floor. No tier structure. No "good, better, best." If it ships from us, it meets the spec.
The pendant diamond gets all the attention. The bail is an afterthought — until it fails. The bail is the loop that connects the pendant to the chain. It bends every time you move, takes friction from the chain links, and absorbs stress at the solder joint with the setting. On most pendants at this price tier, the bail is either hollow (saves gold weight) or plated (base metal with a gold surface). Hollow bails deform at the hinge point. Plated bails wear through at the friction point between the chain and the loop.
Ours are solid 14K gold — the same metal as the setting, all the way through. There is no separate hollow tube. There is no plating. The bail does not deform. It's the part you never think about until it breaks, and the reason you never have to.
The diamond is sourced from SEEPZ — the Special Economic Zone in Mumbai where India's most established jewelry manufacturers operate. Mark has procured from SEEPZ manufacturers for 20 years. That procurement relationship, and not a retail margin, is what determines what you pay. The chain is included. The IGI certificate is included. Nothing is added at retail.

We're offering a small equity stake to customers who buy during the early phase and choose to advocate for the brand. It's not a loyalty program. It's not points. It's actual ownership in what we're building — for the people who believed in us before we were obvious.
Apply to Founders Circle →Every pendant ships with an 18-inch 14K solid gold chain at no additional cost. 18 inches sits at the collarbone on most women — the standard for a solitaire pendant. If you prefer a 16-inch (closer to the throat) or a 20-inch (lower décolletage), contact us before ordering and we can swap the chain at the same price.
Solid 14K gold — not plated, not vermeil. The bail (the loop connecting the pendant to the chain) is the most stress-prone part of a pendant: it bends, flexes, and takes friction from the chain every time you move. Hollow or plated bails deform or wear through at the hinge point. Ours are solid through-and-through, same metal as the setting. Most competitors at this price tier plate or hollow the bail to cut weight and cost. We don't.
Yes. Every pendant ships with a physical IGI grading report for the center stone. The report includes the exact clarity grade, color grade, cut grade, and carat weight. You can verify the report number directly at igi.org. No digital-only certificates — you receive a physical document.
30-day returns on unworn pieces. If the pendant doesn't match the spec on the IGI certificate, we replace it — full replacement, no argument. Standard change-of-mind returns require the piece to be unworn and in original packaging. Contact contact@studsdirect.com.
Gold color (yellow or white) is selectable at checkout. Chain length is 18 inches standard — contact us before ordering for 16-inch or 20-inch swaps. Rose gold is not currently available for pendants. Custom chain lengths beyond 20 inches are available on request.
A solitaire pendant diamond is a single stone — 0.5ct, 1ct, 1.5ct, etc. — the full carat weight in one stone. Stud earrings are listed in total weight for the pair (so a "1ct pair" = 0.5ct per ear). A 1ct pendant stone will appear noticeably larger than a 1ct stud pair because each ear has only half a carat. If stone size is the priority, a pendant delivers more visual impact per dollar than the same total weight in studs.
