14K solid gold throughout. VVS+ diamonds where present. IGI certified, SEEPZ-sourced. The same supply chain and quality floor as every engagement ring we sell — in a band.
Diamond-set bands and plain gold bands. Every spec is on the product page — no surprises at checkout.
VVS+ E-F color · IGI certified · 14K solid gold · SEEPZ-sourced.
Every diamond band we sell ships with VVS+ clarity and E-F color as a non-negotiable floor — the same guarantee on every stud, every engagement ring, every band. IGI-certified stones sourced direct from SEEPZ manufacturers. No tier structure: there is no "good, better, best" — every band meets the same minimum.
Comfort fit. Classic. No plating. Weight disclosed on every listing.
Solid 14K gold through and through — not plated, not filled, not vermeil. Comfort-fit interior profile curves inward on the palm side so the ring sits on a smaller contact area, which makes it noticeably more comfortable for all-day wear. We disclose exact gold weight in grams on every listing because you are buying the metal, not just the shape.
Practical guide: profile by profile, not by guesswork.
Band sizing differs from engagement ring sizing. Here is what actually matters.
Your ring must pass over your knuckle to get on, but rest at your base. If these measurements differ significantly (common in cold weather or for larger knuckles), size for the knuckle and choose a comfort-fit profile — the domed interior holds the ring at the base without rattling.
Comfort-fit bands often fit slightly snugger than traditional-fit rings of the same stated size because the domed profile means the effective inner diameter is slightly smaller. If you are between sizes, go up half a size for a comfort-fit band. If you are right on a full size, comfort fit will feel correct at that size.
Fingers expand in heat and shrink in cold. For a ring you will wear every day, measure in the afternoon when your finger has warmed up and is at its largest. A ring that fits perfectly at its largest will wear slightly loose in cold weather — which is better than a ring that is too tight to remove when you need to.
Plain gold bands and half-eternity bands can typically be resized by a jeweler. Full eternity bands have very limited resizability due to continuous diamond placement — size these carefully using the afternoon-measurement method. If your size may change (pregnancy, weight fluctuation), a half-eternity is the safer choice.

The VVS Guarantee
The VVS Guarantee applies to every piece we sell — engagement rings, stud earrings, and wedding bands. There is no tier structure. If we ship a diamond-set band, it meets the floor on every point below. Plain gold bands carry the same metal guarantee: 14K solid, never plated.
Not meaningfully in a normal lifetime. 14K gold is 58.3% pure gold alloyed with metals that add hardness — it is one of the most durable options for daily-wear jewelry. The remaining 41.7% consists of metals like silver, copper, and zinc that dramatically reduce the softness of pure gold. A 14K solid gold band worn every day will show minor surface scratches over years of wear (this is normal and part of the patina), but it will not wear through or expose a base metal underneath. Plated or gold-filled bands will eventually reveal the base metal. Solid 14K will not. Our bands are solid 14K throughout — not plated, not filled.
This is an honest limitation worth understanding before you buy. Full eternity bands — diamonds set continuously around the entire ring — are very difficult to resize. The diamonds run edge-to-edge around the circumference, leaving almost no plain metal to add or remove. Most jewelers will decline to resize a full eternity band by more than one half-size in either direction. If resizing is a concern (e.g., fingers change with temperature, pregnancy, weight fluctuation), a half-eternity band is the better choice — the plain metal section on the palm side gives a jeweler space to work. Plain gold bands resize easily. We recommend sizing your eternity band based on your finger measurement when it is at its largest (typically late afternoon in warm weather).
A full eternity band has diamonds set continuously around the entire circumference — 360 degrees of stones. A half-eternity band has diamonds covering roughly the front-facing half of the ring, with plain polished metal on the palm side. Visually, when worn on the finger, the difference is nearly imperceptible because you only see the top of your hand during normal daily wear. Practically, the differences are: (1) full eternity costs more because it uses more stones; (2) half eternity is easier to resize because the plain metal section provides room to add or remove material; (3) half eternity is slightly more comfortable for people who are not used to wearing a textured ring on the palm side.
Our diamond bands ship with VVS+ clarity and E-F color — the same floor we hold for every piece we sell. If your engagement ring is from StudsDirect, the stone grades will be at minimum equivalent. If your engagement ring is from another retailer, the answer depends on their grading standards. The majority of major retailers (James Allen, Brilliant Earth, Blue Nile) sell G-H VS as their standard — which is a measurably lower spec than VVS+ E-F. A StudsDirect band paired with a G-H engagement ring may appear slightly brighter due to the higher color grade. For most people this reads as a complement, not a mismatch.
Traditional fit has a flat interior surface that contacts the full width of the underside of your finger. Comfort fit has a domed interior that curves inward — it sits on a smaller curved surface area rather than lying flat. In practice: comfort fit is noticeably easier to put on and take off (the rounded profile slides over the knuckle more easily), and it feels less "present" during all-day wear because less metal touches your skin. If you have never worn a ring before, comfort fit is the better default. Traditional fit provides a slightly flatter appearance from the side profile if that matters aesthetically.
Routine care is simple: clean with warm water, a drop of dish soap, and a soft toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly and dry with a lint-free cloth. For diamond bands, periodic ultrasonic cleaning at a jeweler will restore maximum brilliance. Avoid chlorine (pools, hot tubs) because chlorine can pit and discolor gold alloys over long exposure. Remove the ring for heavy manual work — not because the metal or stones will fail, but because hard impact against stone or metal edges can chip a diamond (all diamonds, lab-grown or mined, can chip under sharp blunt force). Store in the original box or a soft pouch when not wearing.
